Friendly Driving

Most people are looking for ways to be more green with their activities and choices. One of the ways of being more green is changing the way that you use your car and get around town. Find out what simple changes that you can make that will help your driving and your car be a bit more green that aren't really that hard to do.

The first thing to focus on is trying to improve your gas mileage. If you have better gas mileage, your car use will be more green by default. Some do this by buying a brand new car with better gas mileage. Others do it through some different means without buying a brand new car.

Inflate your tires. When your tires are properly inflated, you will use less gasoline each month than on tires that are not inflated right. At least once a month check and make sure that your tires are right.

Go get your car tuned up. If you haven't done this in quite some time, you are wasting gasoline. Go get your car tuned up so that it will run better. Also you can get rid of certain things in the car that might be emitting more harmful emissions by getting everything cleaned up.

Read about hyper miling. This is a driving technique that is designed to use less gasoline therefore it's the greenest way to drive. There are basic principles of keeping your engines rotation per minute under 2000 and letting your car coast more especially when coming to red lights. There are many rules to follow that will help save you money.

Start carpooling. If you can cut back on the use of a car going from one place to another, it's a green alternative. Find someone who you work with that lives near you and start carpooling.

Look for alternative forms of transportation. You might be able to bike to places nearby. You might have some public transportation systems that you can use instead of just using your car.
